This is Halloween
...everybody scream.
Happy 32nd birthday, Star Wars!
I have had the worst 48 hours in my life. No joke. I have hurt people who have treated me like family and it was without intention. I cried all the way to the airport feeling like a failure and worst. I have finally arrived in Florida and in desperate need of a shower and something to eat. Maybe somebody will wake me soon and tell me that everything will be okay.
Though this is highly doubtful.
My laptop broke while I was about to pack it, ie, I dropped it. And then, wile leaving for the airport I dropped my back and when I went to pick it up I swung around and knocked the shit out of a wall. I hope when they read this they realize I am not a malicious person and I feel just as bad since it looks like a fucking hit and run. This year will hopefully be a fresh start for everybody.

So I want you to be honest. Does it make me a tool because I am watching and discovering Arrested Development...like...last night?
This show is beyond amazing. Almost as good as "Always Sunny".

Wow. Didn't see that one coming.
Creator of Witchblade and The Darkness died last night. Seriously shocking.
He was only 37.

I saw this last night a special preview screening. I had seen the trailer here and there, and I it freaked me out. Though I kept making jokes about the Scarecrow asking for a cup of sugar. It played well on one of my two main fears: home invasion. The other one being child ghosts, but this movie is realistic to the point where it could happen. No demon-possessed janitors. No chainsaw-weilding freaks of nature. Just weirdos in masks, looking for a good kill. The thing about this movie is that The Strangers was filmed in the United States beginning in 2006 and finishing in 2007. The production’s estimated budget was around $10,000,000. The release of the film was postponed…twice. The producers originally intended to release the film in Summer 2007, but due to complications, the date was pushed back to the Autumn. The release was pushed back yet again to May 30, 2008. Possibly trying to not get loss in the shuffle of torture-porn movies already in the works around that time.
It starts with a simple enough story, Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman portray Kristen McKay and James Hoyt. Supposedly this movie is inspired by true events. Well, there are ton of home invasions every year, though maybe not so dramatic. It’s cliche in the fact that it takes place in the middle of nowhere, but the thrills start pretty early in the movie. It just becomes nerve-racking to the point where you almost want Kristen and James to die because it would just be easier for them. Not to say it’s drawn out, it has an excellent pace, but you know what’s coming in the end.
The assailants are creepy enough to warrant an actual threat and not some mystery men/women in masks with weapons. They’ve obviously done this before and this won’t be the last. They kill, not for any reason, other than the fact they want to. It goes for cheap thrills at times when you hear that obvious “something’s about to happen” tone. It’s still something to go see. It’s a low-budget thrill ride that even made me jump a few times, and I’m VERY hard to scare. So check it out when it comes out this Friday.
